In this tutorial Senior Character/Creature Modeler Crystal Bretz takes you through her entire workflow for creating a stylized female character. Using a concept supplied by Angel Ganev, she shares the entire process for translating a 2D concept into a 3D character. This workflow includes a look inside the techniques used for Modeling, Texturing, Groom, and Lookdev. Poliigon Material Generators Pack
If you are using an application that has a Substance plugin, then you can use it directly inside of it. If you are using one that does not have such a plugin, like Blender, then you can use the free Substance Player standalone application to generate the materials and import the maps as you would any other material. Next Gen Character Creation Mentorship
This course has been designed to learn in-depth techniques for modeling, texturing and rendering a cutting edge real-time character. The class will work similarly to a live mentorship, as students approach the creation of AAA game characters for their portfolios. Students should expect to cover for head and hair, costume elements, low poly UV’s and processing required to get the asset real-time ready, and finishing with material and texture creation to set up the final model in engine with final images. Please note that this is an advanced class for students to push existing character(s) and portfolio pieces. NOTE: This is NOT an introductory course.
